BESPOKE

As well as developing products for our own range, we love to work with home owners, interior designers, property developers and hospitality on bespoke projects, ranging from menu holders to furniture.

We design and make from our well equiped workshop on the Wirral, drawing on a network of collaborators in manufacturing, joinery and wood turning, to create pieces to meet the specific needs of our clients.

If you have a project you'd like to discuss, please email dan@utology.co.uk. We also welcome workshop/studio visits if you'd like to see how we work or discuss a project face to face.

Walnut Bathroom Shelves

This set of bathroom shelves is made from beautiful walnut wood. The slats are fitted using hand cut lap joints, there are no visible fixings or brackets and they are finished with a high quality hardwax oil.

Oak Side Table

Oak side table of our own design. The client gave us free reign to design and make them something special for their home office.

Elm Coffee Table

This statement coffee table was made using an exquisite slab of British Elm with a waney edge (or live edge). We stabilised the splits with bow tie joints and paired with simple stainless steel hairpin legs.

Wine Rack

This oak and stainless steel wine rack was made to the clients specification. 8 pieces of oak were cut to shape on a CNC router before being hand sanded and fitted using stainless steel supports.

Oak Sofa

The design brief behind this sofa was to create a sofa for a small apartment that could double as a bed for guests, without them feeling like they are sleeping on the sofa! When the back cushion is removed the sofa is 90cm deep, giving lots of space to stretch out and by having no arms the guest feels less closed in. Finally the single large cushion feels closer to a mattress than the usual multiple seat cushions.
